I began using photography as a form of artistic expression, focusing on nature, scenery, and most of all, horses. Horses have been a part of my life since childhood, and there’s something mesmerizing about them. When I pick up my camera, my goal is to capture every detail, a closeup of the color of their coat, the light flickering in their eyes, the texture of their mane and the way their bodies move whether they are running free or standing quietly beside a friend. Horses will always be my favorite subject. As a mom of two, I don't get to pick up a paintbrush as often as I'd like, so photography naturally became my creative outlet. While I still shoot digital from time to time my true love these days is film. There's nothing quite like the surprise of getting a roll developed and seeing the moments come to life. I hope you enjoy looking through my lens and into the eyes of a horse.
